Baseball???

I've only seen two MLB games, but i get easily bored because it takes them forever to pitch and there are so many other distractions. Correct me if Im wrong (not from the USA) but Baseball is Americas national sport but i find it very boring and pointless.

Yes, it is the national pastime. And every sport is boring and pointless if you're not a fan- I don't see the appeal of watching two guys punch each other repeatedly or a bunch of people drive in a circle for three hours.

Go to a Ballpark and t ell me its boring. You have never seen baseball until you seen it live. Report It

Your point?
Yes, baseball is known as Americas pastime.

Baseball is actually a very interesting sport if you know what is going on. If you don't know anything about it, of course you're going to find it boring and pointless.

I absolutely love baseball, it's my favorite sport.
You'll get used to it.
You actually have to experience a game espically at Major League level. Once you get there and understand what is going on it will or might chance everything.!!! Baseball is Americans pastime and is a game, it helps many of us from the crazy world we live in to cope for awhile. Most of us regardless of recent attacks on the sport can't wait for it to begin!! To each their own.
i dont feel watching 22 guys running after a ball for 90 minutes and NEVER scoring a goal is that exciting either..
to baseball fans, it's not "pointless and boring", it's slow paced and interrupted occasionally by brief moments of terrific excitement. Have an open mind and watch a few more games, ask fans why they find the game fun to follow, then, if baseball is not for you, fine. But don't ever say its boring and pointless, it's not to a kazillion other people around the world.
Thats your opinion.
There is a lot going on - definitely not boring and pointless. Baseball is not just about pitching and hitting. There is strategy in every move - every step- every position.

Some call it a thinking man's game. I suggest that next time you go to a baseball game, bring someone that knows and loves baseball. Have him/her explain what is going on as the game unfolds.

You might have a very different opinion of MLB baseball afterwards.
i bet you are from a country that plays soccer?

i find that boring,usually
well i find cricket boring as hell
You are as entitled to your opinion as I am to mine...and in my opinion...baseball is the best, most exciting sport around.
Baseball is the most intellectual game in the world. There are so many aspects one has to think about. Every pitch is a new game. One must have great focus to play or watch for that matter. So many different things going on at once. When I watch baseball I get so ******* excited. Every movement on the diamond is exicuted with such percision. Nothing is ever the same. It may be similar but never the same. You don't have to use your brain in any other sport like you do baseball. A game of chess has nothing on the mental energy you must put out to play baseball. It took me 20 years to stay 100% focused for all 9 innings of the game if not more innings. Theres so much going on that you can't catch it all.
"Baseball is dull only to those with dull minds."

I don't hold many sportwriters in high regard, but Smith was one of the genuine greats.
