What was a more impressive victory between the Celtics and Lakers?

Is it more impressive the Lakers beating the former champs in the Spurs (4-1) or the Celtics beating the second best overall team in the league in the Pistons (4-2).

I would like to know your thoughts on which series was more impressive and why it was more impressive.

I'd say the Celtics players the harder and bette rteam. I think everyone could see that the Spurs tried at first, especially in game 1, but they fell short towards the end of virtually every game they lost due to their fatigue. Class A example is game 1, the Lakers took adantage of their airline hinderances and upset them.

TheSpurs could not bounce back.

The Piston on the other hand are as good as any other WCF team. Both the Celtics and Lakers deserve to be in the Finals but I give the edge to the Celtics.

Definatly the lakers. The spurs are defending champs, not to metion have won the title like 4 out of 9 years i think. But you gotta look at the whole playoffs too. The lakers got matched up with the 50 win nuggets and swept them. The Celtics got the 36 win hawks, and almost lost the series. Then it almost happend again next series... And im not really sure about the pistons being the second best team, at least not this season... I dont care what the celtics did in the regular season the lakers are just better. And the celtics will have way more matchup issues gaurding the lakers. KG is the only problem for them. But other than that the celtics are a jump shooting team, and there is no way they will be able to keep up. I look for vladi to be great in this series. And shasha should be able to get off many more 3's this series.

Anytime a team takes out the defending champions in a series is more impressive to me. Both teams made it to the conference finals.

Detroit has been a brides maid the past few years and hasn't made it to the finals in awhile so its not as impressive because they have a hump they just can't get over.
definitely spurs and lakers. the west was all closer to each other in the standings than the east to say one. then the spurs are defending champions and the lakers are a young team. its very impressive. im kinda biased to though cuz im a diehard laker fan but seriously in perspective its the lakers.
the lakers beating the defending champs in 5 games is bigger...the celtics were playing a banged up detroit team mentally and physically... rips elbow was hurt chaunceys hip was screwed up and rasheed was hugging garnett b4 the games...two good series but lakers series was more impressive
