Why would two teams be located in Los Angeles? Who would actually go to Clipper games, assuming the Lakers are more popular? Is it something like Chicago where working-class people support the White Sox while the rich support the Cubs?
I can't imagine who would actually support the Clippers in Los Angeles, of course, obviously before they were good this year.

i think the population of LA is so big that it can support both teams. the people that support the clippers are probably those who couldn't get tickets to see the lakers. i used to like the clippers. for the last 5 years they have been doing fairly decent. if they were in the east they would have made it to the playoffs a while ago. its because they are in the west where teams with .500 aren't even guaranteed a spot.
they have always had some good players too and high draft picks. if you are a fan of the sport you would have probably went to see Lamar Odom, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson back when they were on the team.

Laker games always attract big hollywood stars,etc...and going to a LAKERS game is like the cool thing to do. On the other hand, you have the true diehard fans going to Clippers games. Most people say only blue-collar people go to Clipper games, but i've also seen famous people at their games. Report It
Probably the relatives/wives/kids of the players. IT is probably like high school sports where parents watch their kids play for support.
